Watch for Joey on Food Network: Rachael v. Guy Celebrity Cook Off
Oh, boy. I don’t remember Joey ever saying he was a good cook… and by the looks of this promo, I don’t think he’ll ever be able to say that.
From FoodNetwork.com
Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri will lead star-studded teams of amateur cooks in a fun, fast-paced culinary fight to the finish on the new Food Network prime-time series Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off.
Two of the world’s best-known culinary personalities will lead star-studded teams of amateur cooks in a fun, fast-paced culinary fight to the finish on the new Food Network prime-time series Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off. The six-episode show is set to premiere on January 1 at 9pm ET/PT.
Emmy®-winning talk show host and Food Network icon Rachael Ray and best-selling cookbook author and successful restaurateur Guy Fieri will serve as coaches and mentors to eight multi-talented celebrities, all of whom are passionate about food and cooking. Divided into Team Rachael and Team Guy, the contestants will face intense weekly challenges that are sure to have them working, fighting and laughing as they race against the clock to prepare elaborate meals for up to 150 guests. The winning and losing teams will be chosen by the guest diners — and between two bottom-rated contestants from the losing team, one member will be sent home each week. The last celebrity standing at the end of the season will win a cash donation to his or her favorite charity.
“What do you get when you combine me, Guy, eight celebrities and industrial stoves? You’ll have to wait and see, but I can say it’s hot times in the city and on the set. What a blast — these pros are from all different fields and they are cooking up a storm for dozens, even hundreds of judges, daily,” said Rachael.
“I’m absolutely psyched to work on this show. Rachael and I have been friends for years and being able to work with her in this capacity for the first time is a blast. It’s also great to see the celebrity contestants so excited about food and putting themselves out there,” said Guy. “There is some serious competition among them to win for their favorite charities and the action is nonstop.”
The show’s all-star lineup includes:
- Summer Sanders – Two-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer and national sportscaster
- Lou Diamond Phillips – Golden Globe®-nominated actor (Stand and Deliver, SGU Stargate Universe)
- Aaron Carter – Multi-platinum-selling recording artist and actor (Popstar, Supercross)
- Joey Fatone – Singer, actor, television personality and founding member of top-selling supergroup ‘N Sync
- Taylor Dayne – Chart-topping recording star and actress (Broadway’s Aida, television’s Nightman)
- Coolio – Grammy®-winning hip-hop artist
- Cheech Marin – Grammy-winning® comedian, screenwriter and actor (Judging Amy, Cars 2)
- Alyssa Campanella – Winner, Miss USA 2011 and Runner-Up, Miss Teen USA 2007

Orlando Sentinel: Joey Fatone to host ‘Karaoke Battle U.S.A.’
Joey Fatone, the former ‘N Sync performer who lives in Central Florida, will host “Karaoke Battle U.S.A.”
posted by halboedeker on July, 11 2011 5:14 PM | Orlando Sentinel
The singing contest from ABC debuts at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, on WFTV-Channel 9.
If the premise sounds preposterous, ABC notes that Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood started with karaoke.
The judging panel will be Carnie Wilson, music journalist Joe Levy (Maxim, Rolling Stone) and Brian Scott, the National Karaoke Champion for 2009.
The six-episode series taped this summer at regional finals in Houston, Las Vegas, New York City and Chicago.
The best male and female performers at each stop move to the Los Angeles House of Blues, where they will compete for the titles King and Queen of Karaoke. The semifinals and finals will tape in L.A. next month.
The top prizes include a recording (released by Hollywood Records) and a chance to compete at the Karaoke World Championships. They will be in Ireland later this year.
Fatone performed on “Dancing With the Stars” and hosted “The Singing Bee.”

Mangia! Mangia! Joey on Rocco’s Dinner Party
If anyone would like to see the episode of Rocco’s Dinner Party (airing Wednesdays on BRAVO), you can pick up the download HERE. The file is m4v, and should be viewable with Quicktime. I tried to convert it to another format but was unsuccessful.
Joey’s not featured a lot, though he IS there. It’s basically an hour of Joey eating and talking about Italian food. One of the dinner guests makes Joey talk to her daughter, who is a HUGE *NSYNC fan.
