Fan Encounter: “I Met Joey Fatone”

He’s in town in The Producers and you can buy a headshot and meet him after the show…so I did.  He’s really, really nice. They worked in a “bye bye bye” joke into the show and me and two other girls my age (mid-twenties) were LOL’ing over it with him.  Some little old lady came up to him and asked him about all the gay/straight actors on Broadway…he was really funny about it.  And, really, the point of this all is that my fourteen year old self is dying that he gave me a hug and that I now have a picture with him.

   I’m very excited for you! I love Joey, and I will be seeing him next week in The Producers. Is there an opportunity to meet him after every show?

   I was the one who met him…I’m not sure if he does it every show, but when I walked in, the merch table had a sign that said, meet Joey Fatone when you buy a headshot (which was $10). After the show, you get to go to the lower left corner of the main floor of the Benedum..they had a table set up but there were less than ten of us so he stood and chatted with us and posed for pictures!
